This course is designed for a hair stylist/makeup artist or similar, who already knows the basics, but is wanting to advance their current repertoire of expertise. DAY ONE

• Learn the basic skills for hairstyling; consulting with clients, preparing hair, styling hair.

• Obtain confidence with handling hair.

• Learn techniques to mentally break down a range of hairstyles.

• Learn techniques for curling, blow-drying, setting the hair, sectioning, pinning, spraying, backcombing, applying products.

• Effectively execute an up style.

• Learn how to effectively communicate and consult with your clients.

This course is designed for anyone who wants to learn hairstyling and up styling. This course is an introduction to hairstyling, covering the basic key skills involved for any hairstyle and up style. Students will gain an understanding of how to mentally break down up styles and utilise keys skills to create a range of styles. Incorporating both theory and practical, with up close demonstrations and hands on interaction. Covering topics from the consultation process to the finished product.

The day consists of demonstrations and practical, with more focus on the student practical for maximum hands on time.

DAY TWO

OBJECTIVE

• Learn new techniques to break down and create a range of hairstyles.

• Learn new techniques for curling, vintage waves, pinning, spraying, applying products, working with extensions and hair padding.

• Effectively execute numerous hairstyles. (minimum 4-6 demos and student pracs)

• Effectively execute a hairstyle of choice.

• Learn how to grow your business by offering your new skills, gain more clients in wedding, formal and special occasion up styling.

• Talking about Social Media and utilising it effectively in your business.

• Learn how to effectively communicate and consult with your clients.

• Become a confident hair stylist.

Required:

Own kits with all hairstyling products and equipment (refer to list of requirements).

Provided:

• Head blocks will be provided for each student to work on.

• Lunch and nibblies are also provided, you just need to bring a water bottle.

LOOK 'N' LEARN   3.5 HOURS

OBJECTIVE

• Learn new techniques to break down and create a range of hairstyles.

• Learn new techniques for curling, vintage waves, pinning, spraying, applying products, working with extensions and hair padding.

• Learn how to grow your business by offering your new skills, gain more clients in wedding, formal and special occasion up styling.

• Learn how to effectively communicate and consult with your clients.  

 

This course is designed for anyone who wants to either get into hairstyling or is already a hairstylist.  Someone who is wanting to gain an insight into the correct preparation for styling, elements of an upstyle, breaking a style down and sectioning the hair, techniques for modern styling, tips for polished upstyles, creating volume, using extensions and hair fillers, working with difficult hair types.

 

These Look ‘n’ Learn Workshops have up-close demonstrations consisting of classic and modern styles that are appealing to what the present day client is requesting. Covering topics from products and tools, preparation, and the consultation process to the finished product.

MAKEUP LESSONS - ONE ON ONE

BASIC MAKEUP LESSON   ONE HOUR

For the beginner, the clueless, and anyone wanting to know quick and simple ways to do your makeup and look great every day!

The Basic lesson will cover an introduction to the preparation and care of the skin, concealing, foundation application and colour matching, brows, cheeks, lips, and basic eyes. The use of brushes, application techniques, product placement, and suitable colour suggestions for your colouring.

INTERMEDIATE MAKEUP LESSON   TWO HOURS

​

For someone wanting to know how to do an everyday makeup, makeup for work and hitting the town.

The Intermediate lesson covers all the aspects of the Basic lesson including; an introduction to the preparation and care of the skin, concealing, foundation application and colour matching, brows, cheeks, and lips. The Intermediate Lesson is longer and goes into more detail. The use of brushes, application techniques, product placement, and suitable colour suggestions for your colouring. For eyes you will learn how to use several colours on the eyes to achieve depth and dimension. You will be able to use these techniques to do an everyday makeup, makeup suitable for work and then makeup for an evening/going out look.

COMPREHENSIVE MAKEUP LESSON   THREE HOURS

​

For someone wanting to “know it all”! If you want to do your own makeup like a professional – this lesson is for you!

The Comprehensive lesson covers all the aspects of the Basic and Intermediate lessons including; an introduction to the preparation and care of the skin, concealing, foundation application and colour matching, brows, cheeks, and lips. The use of brushes, application techniques, product placement, and suitable colour suggestions for your colouring. For eyes you will learn how to use several colours on the eyes to achieve depth and dimension. You will be able to use these techniques to do an everyday makeup, makeup suitable for work and then makeup for an evening/going out look. This lesson goes the step further and will show you how contour and highlight the face and master the full black smokey eye, without looking like a racoon.

For only $20 each person, our team can show you some simple and quick tricks to make yourself look that much more glamorous for any occasion.

Any excuse to get the girls together for some champagne or have the Hair and Makeup party as a starter to a hen’s party, birthday celebration, bridal shower, or any occasion.
